In the context of these activities, the Director will contribute to scholarly research designed to evaluate current procedures and establish best practices for the Admissions office. Finally, the Director is expected to provide statistical data and reporting on UCSF School of Medicine applicants.
Manages a discrete admissions and / or recruitment function and / or program. Formulates policies and procedures for the admissions and / or recruitment function. Develops the long and short term organizational goals of the unit. Represents the program internally and externally. Manages the operating budget and human resources of the program.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in administration, education or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 6+ years of directly relevant experience including 5+ years of lead/supervisor/manager experience.
- Significant knowledge of the goals and mission of the University as they relate to academic preparation, recruitment, and advanced-standing admission.
- Significant knowledge of UC's colleges, schools and departmental transfer policies.
- Significant knowledge regarding UC's colleges / schools, general education policies and requisite transfer preparation.
- Knowledge of fiscal management policies and practices and University personnel management policies and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of education theory, policy, practice, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of organizational development strategies and practice.
