The Director of Human Resource is responsible for managing and directing key areas of human resources including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, HRIS, wellness, and analytics. Additional Responsibilities
- This role oversees the functions of Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HR Analytics, and Office Specialists comprised of 13 members in a 400-person, $1.5B competitive gas marketing company.
- Provide vision, leadership, planning, and management by building, developing, coaching and maintaining an effective and efficient team that delivers exceptional service in support of Gas South's culture.
- Ensure best practices on a wide range of employee relations issues; advise and guide on complex and challenging matters.
- Champion and build the talent management ranks in support of diversity strategy.
- Create and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, aligned with best practices and designed to be efficient, effective, and compliant with legal and organizational standards.
- Lead and participate in succession management and workforce planning.
- Lead the development and coordination of initiatives, communication, and events with human resources business partners managers and supervisors.
- Direct and lead our external partners such as attorneys, benefits brokers, retirement brokers, and various providers of benefits and compensation services who work with the HR team in support of our customers.
- Oversee Gas South's competitive compensation and benefits (Total Rewards) and ensure it is established and implemented to meet the needs of the company and the needs of the employees.
- Provide leadership and counsel on leave administration processes including LTD, STD, personal leaves as well as worker's compensation cases, ADA accommodation, etc.
- Support the full employee life cycle including onboarding, internal transfers, and employee departures.
- Serve as a change agent in strategic partner and organizational change; Support, implement and communicate human resources' long-term and strategic goals ensuring consistency with the mission, values, and strategic plan of Gas South.
- Ensure processes, policies and practices are interpreted and applied consistently and effectively; ensure accountability and compliance with all current and applicable state and federal laws, policies and procedures, rules and regulations
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or another related field
- 7-10 years' work experience in human resources with a similar organization in size and scope
- Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to achieve results through others
- Extensive knowledge of HR disciplines including strategic planning, organization design and effectiveness, recruiting, compensation, talent development and succession, disability, training, leadership and employee development.
- Maintain the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and a commitment to creating an environment in which employees can thrive.
Preferred Experience
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Management
- Experience in compensation design, benefits administration and design, and HRIS systems (UKG Pro)
