The Director of Business Development is a Business Development role responsible for planning and implementation of ARM corporate strategies to explore and develop potential business with China tie-1 customers by considering ARM’s central initiatives and revenue potential. The role requires to have an in-depth understanding of the technology landscape and be able to translate that knowledge into practical business plans that are aligned with corporate strategic goals. You will develop and implement the engagement plan. This candidate will need to work closely with internal groups such as Arm China JV account teams, Arm ltd Line of Business, Legal, Central Engineering, and Enterprise Marketing to align the goal and to improve the influence of arm ecosystem.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for professional ongoing account development to achieve new sales to existing customers over medium to longer-term, and to improve customer lifetime value.
- Responsible for identifying and developing relationships with each target customer’s buying network and the right decision-makers within it.
- Able to engage at the CxOs level within customer organizations and to use ARM Executives when required.
- Working with customer business units, engineering, product management and C level to understand business challenges and identify the best ARM solution for the client.
- Work with Arm China account team to deliver on quarterly and annual booking and revenue target.
- Ability to quickly develop credibility and rapport with key partners internally and externally and work well in a highly collaborative environment
- Have an Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Have a consistent track record in Business Development and/or Account Management with a fast-growing technology business of scale
- Shown sophisticated skills in customer relationship and account management.
- Strong communicator with positive relationship building skills.
- Have understanding with outstanding selling and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work optimally in a cross-divisional and multinational environment.
- A strong stakeholder manager, able to influence and impact for the good of ARM’s partners and business.
- A strong ‘upward’ manager comfortable operating at VP and Executive level.
- A strong teammate able to optimize all resources; technical commercial, marketing to achieve the best outcome for the customer and Arm.
- Confident self-starter that instinctively knows where to spend their time to improve business.
- Proficient Mandarin and English skills required
- Ability to China and to travel out of region and up to 40% based on business needs.
- BA or BSc degree preferred.
- Credible background in semiconductor and / or high tech.

To: $279,741
