Eastridge Workforce Solutions has partnered with premier commercial interior and exterior building systems contractor, in this search for an experienced Director of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Sales and strong knowledge of construction principals and techniques. Qualified candidates encourage to apply.
Principal Duties and Requirements:
- Lead entertainment strategies to maintain and grow relationships.
- Participate in establishing and guiding annual business planning.
- Skillfully negotiates and settles differences between multiple stakeholders by resolving conflict and coordinating action plans.
- Takes the lead on all project interviews and coaches our internal team to ensure that all client requirements are met.
- Prepares for client meetings, sets specific agenda, and aligns internal team with meeting goals.
- Attends industry events and other client-related events.
- Accurately tracks and forecasts new opportunities against current backlog to meet Branch Business Plan.
- Takes the lead on all RFQ’s/RFP’s and assembles pursuit teams.
- Consistently tracks status of new project opportunities and provides monthly updates to senior leaders.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Sales, Business Management, or related field OR 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales or Client Services in Construction trade preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of commercial construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Approachable and accessible; demonstrated ability to put others at ease, build rapport, and establish relationships quickly.
- Experience in sales preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information orally, in writing, and in graphic form.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information.
- Mastery of project and time management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced/noisy work environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to establish processes where no precedent or guidelines exist.
