Dental Receptionist - Phone Scheduling

Welcome to Oral Surgery Michiana. Our practice is currently seeking a full-time Phone Scheduling Receptionist to join our dynamic team. Interested applicants must embody a positive attitude, willingness to learn and be ready to work in a fast-paced and exciting environment. Job Duties include:

-Answer and direct calls

-Schedule appointments

-Update patient account information

-Record and/or process insurance information

-Collect payments

-Communicate with other dental and/or medical offices

-Fax and scan documents

-Basic filing

-Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

-Email management

-Experience with basic windows file management

-Experience with Windows Office Suite/Office 365

Job Requirements include:

-Ability to communicate effectively, accept recommendations for job growth and to improve efficiency in daily tasks.

-Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete initiatives.

-Knowledge of how to use a computer and answer the phone.

-Ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task project environment.

-Ability to adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance regulations.

Skills/Experience:1+ year of experience in healthcare is desired but not required. Specific on-the-job training provided.

-High School Degree or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
