Dental Office Receptionist

About the Front Desk Receptionist Position

We're looking for a Front Desk Receptionist, in our River North Dental Office, to be the first point of contact for all of our patients. You'll be maintaining and executing all dental receptionist duties to ensure the office runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate should have a friendly, easygoing personality in addition to being perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints, learn quickly, and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

We want you to make our patients feel appreciated and valued while on our premises.

Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities

• Keep the front desk area clean, presentable and stocked with all the necessary material (pens, forms, paper, etc)

• Greet and welcome patients
  

• Answer questions and address complaints

• Answer all incoming calls
  

• Schedule appointments

• Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary

• Keep updated records and files

• Take up other duties as assigned
  

Front Desk Receptionist Requirements

• 2 years experience as a dental front desk receptionist

• Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)

• Knowledge of dental insurances, terms/codes a plus
  

• Proficient in English (oral and written)

• Strong communication and people skills

• Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities

• Problem-solving skills

• Customer service orientation

• High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
