Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Full or part-time available! Our client located in the Buffalo Grove area, has an immediate need for a Front Office Receptionist / Office Assistant / Admin. This position will perform a variety of office duties and be the face of the dental/oral surgery practice. This is a growing Oral Surgeon medical office. Our client is looking for a right-hand person to serve as a “Goodwill Ambassador” to help build the practice through customer service, client engagement and strong people skills. We need someone with a can do, willing to learn attitude.
The office assistant position requires some previous customer service, sales and/or administrative assisting experience. Full training for the position on the various office computer programs is available. Our client provides an excellent working environment,
Sample Responsibilities May Include the Following:
· Front Desk Duties: Answering/forwarding/recording phone calls, retrieving messages
· Write up patient charges and pull treatment cards
· Schedule patient appointments and manage reschedules and cancellations
· Collect over-the-counter and mail fees from patients and enter on ledger and daily sheet—cash, check and credit card
· Prepare new patient files prior to patient arrival, and maintain patient files
· Billing and Collections duties
· Call patients about past due accounts, mail follow-up statements, as needed
· Mail statements to patients once payment are received, with proper notation
· Discuss past-due accounts with patients in office, as necessary
· Filing Duties: Maintain patient and applicant files
· Miscellaneous Duties: Manage various office mail duties. Maintain general office appearance in the front desk, back office and waiting room areas.
· Perform Miscellaneous Office Duties as necessary.
Requirements:
· Looking for stable work history without job hopping
Oral and written communication skills
· Multi-Tasking abilities
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Outlook Data entry, math, and light accounting
· Required education: - High school or equivalent
· Must be customer focused
· Strong organizational skills
· Anility to work independently in small office setting
· Professional appearance and demeanor
