Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as pouring and trimming models
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification/license required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and dental anatomy
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
