The employee is responsible for preparation and submission of documentation to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution.
- Gather and prepare all necessary documentation for audit submission, while continuing to pursue additional documentation and correction requests
- Preparation and submission of audits to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution
- Communicate Medicare policy and procedures to field and staff employees
- Adjust A/R in accordance with Medicare policy
- May serve as a backup when other employees are out
- Work assigned Audit Delivery System reports
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- General office skills such as proficiency in PC programs and Data Entry, typing, filing, and basic math are essential
- Ability to learn, research, and apply insurance policy and medical terminology
- Knowledge of telephone etiquette, as well as adequate oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Shows effective multitasking skills
- Positive and cooperative attitude in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization
