Purpose:
As a Driver, you will partner with businesses to achieve successful transition in the workplace. This position is responsible for aligning with our vision to be the first "World Class Provider" of facility services and sharing it with others to the highest level of excellence daily. Additionally, you are responsible for all the truck operations for the vehicle assigned to you daily. Delivery and/or pick-up product or other items to/from various client sites throughout the local market and surrounding areas at the direction of the scheduler. Coordinates proper loading, unloading, and moving of product as needed. Acts as a team player and presents themselves in a professional manner. A fully qualified Driver has demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of safe vehicle driving, product handling, and works independently or with minimal supervision. This individual also coordinates small furniture/move related projects at the direction of others. This position is expected to work varied work hours, 40+ hours per week, but hours can vary depending on workload demands.
Principle Duties
Driving - Operates company vehicles by driving to customer locations for deliveries and/or pick-ups

• Demonstrates dependability by being on time, ready to work, regardless of the start time
• Routinely completes Standard Work daily toolbox talk and stretches
• Cooperate in every aspect of the company's safety program and follow safe work practices
• Drives A&M trucks to predetermined destinations in a safe manner, adhering to all safety rules
• Inspects vehicles before and after trips and reports any discrepancies to persons responsible for fleet maintenance
• Stores product correctly to ensure no damage occurs during transport
• Consistently moves furniture in the safest manner to ensure no damage to the product or the building occurs
• Utilizes proper equipment to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Accepts, understands, and responds positively to feedback from superiors
• Assists in unboxing, moving and/or installing product as needed
• Paperwork-Adheres to necessary processes to ensure accurate records
• Verifies own hours each day through Standard Work process
• Completes daily truck reports and DOT paperwork in a timely manner
• Notifies Supervisor to assist in documenting changes and damage during installation process
• Understands and accurately completes customer's paperwork when appropriate
• Compares delivery tickets to product transported to ensure accurate shipments
• Provides proper identification of returned products to warehouse personnel
• Returns completed delivery tickets always and completes Daily Status updates
• Other duties as assigned to support business needs and to meet customer expectations

Installation - Assists with unpacking, installation and moving a variety of commercial furniture according
to customer expectations

• Understands installation techniques of commercial furniture and installs accordingly
• Coordinates less complex projects such as service calls, truck unloads and basic installation projects
• Actively seeks additional tasks upon completion of those assigned to them and performs to expectations of job
• Willingly assists in a positive manner with cross-training of other Team Members

Employee/Customer Relations - Provides effective communication/service to others and ensures
following appropriate policy/procedures as designated by company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• HS Degree preferred
• 1+ years' experience driving straight trucks in an urban environment
• Basic installation skills and ability to accommodate changing needs in scheduling and jobs
• Previous experience in a Customer Service or similar industry

Work Hours:
Varied based on hours defined by job. Overtime as needed/some weekend work.
Qualifications - Education & Experience:

• HS Degree preferred
• 2-3 Years of work experience in a customer facing field preferred
