Data Entry Clerk

As a Data Entry Clerk with communications responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to trucking operations. Your primary focus will be Data Entry tasks, but you will also have communication duties involving truck drivers and brokers. The role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

Essential Job Functions

• Data Entry:

• Accurately enter and update information into databases and spreadsheets.
• Ensure the integrity and completeness of data by reviewing and verifying entries.

• Communicating with Truck Drivers:

• Interact with truck drivers to obtain and confirm shipment details.
• Communicate delivery schedules, pickup instructions, and other relevant information.
• Address inquiries and provide support to resolve an issues or discrepancies.

• Coordinate with Brokers:

• Collaborate with brokers to coordinate logistics and transportation activities.
• Share shipment status, delivery updates, and any relevant information.
• Facilitate smooth communication channels between the organization and external brokers.

• Documentation:

• Maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, deliveries and transactions.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.

• Problem Resolution:

• Identify and address data discrepancies or communication issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve any challenges in a timely manner.

• Adherence to Policies and Procedures:

• Follow established company policies and procedures related to Data Entry and communication protocols.
• Uphold confidentiality and security standards for sensitive information.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Highschool Diploma.
• Proven experience in Data Entry or related fields.
• Strong computer skills, including Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact professionally with truck drivers, brokers, and internal team members.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
