Tempo Communications is seeking to fill a new Data Entry Clerk position. This is a FT / In-person position (Monday - Friday). This position will require strong attention to detail, a high level of quality, problem solving skills and time management skills.
Tempo Communications designs, develops, and commercializes test equipment for global high-speed copper, fiber, and wireless communications service providers. The preferred candidate is experienced with Bill of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Microsoft Great Plains (GP) and documentation control requirements in an engineering or manufacturing environment. The documentation and control specialist works with product development and manufacturing to manage our documentation control process and guide products into production. This individual will take ownership of Tempo Communications documentation control system, processes, and improvements in accordance with our ISO documentation process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Generate ECO’s
- Create and maintain BOM (bills of materials) in GP driven by ECO.
- Verify ECO entries, part numbers, BOM structure and BOM status and if needed take corrective action.
- Accurately log all ECO activity and monitor ECO status.
- Generate ECO’s to facilitate corrective action for both engineering and manufacturing.
- Release ECO’s
- Verify ECO revision and BOM changes in GP and route to engineering for final signoff.
- Verify that drawings, artwork, and manuals are included when applicable.
- Send ECO release notices to all appropriate distribution lists.
- Engineering Services
- Maintain all GP engineering documentation.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of BOMs and drawings follow Tempo Communication’s ISO documentation process.
- Create and maintain new part numbers and Bill of Materials (BOMs) in Microsoft Great Plains (GP)
- Provide engineering with ECO status reports.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Proficient working with GP, Microsoft office including Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of ISO, engineering or manufacturing business process and documentation requirements.
- Understanding of BOM structures, materials, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
- Understand engineering drawing components such as title block, rev block, assembly structure.
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or CAD is extremely desirable but not required.
Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus
Experience in Data Entry (2+ years)
