Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining various types of data into our computer systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has strong administrative and clerical skills.
Duties:
- Enter data into computerized systems with speed and accuracy
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Update existing data and perform regular backups
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Sort, organize, and file documents after entering data
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong administrative and clerical abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently
- Fast typing speed with high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of order entry processes is a plus
- Ability to transcribe information from various sources accurately
- Familiarity with computerized filing systems
- Experience working with pivot tables is a plus
