Overview
The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison, providing effective Customer Service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs. Gives prompt reply to all phone and email correspondence. Focuses on “key customer accounts” and handles the maintenance on a more individualized basis. Communicates effectively with team members within the department and with other company personnel, as required to advance the service level. Immediate attention given to the resolution of discrepancy invoices.
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls, emails and other sources of communication to ensure complete satisfaction. Supporting a 400 + salesforce and sales management team with a 7000 + customer base.
- Handles discrepancy invoices, issues credits to ensure invoice pricing is correct and retail incentive payments are complete.
- Provides product/service information and resolves any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.
- Care and maintenance of Key Accounts. Fulfills needs in a quick and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an office and service environment is mandatory.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, data entry, high call volume environment.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with flexibility (seasonal overtime hours would be one example).
- Should be adept in oral and written communication skills and have a professional demeanor.
- Should be a self starter with good organizational skills and the ability to time manage under pressure while maintaining a courteous approach with customers, co-workers, etc.
- Must have the ability to accurately interpret the price structure, to include deal levels and retail incentive programs (RIP) calculations.
- This position involves 5-6 hours of sitting, walking to other parts of the building, bending, kneeling and reaching as well as vision (computer database entry and retrieval of information), hearing (use of telephone) and verbal communication with customers, suppliers and employees.
