POSITION SUMMARY:
Xanterra Travel Collection is looking for a Seasonal Culinary Talent Specialist to join our team!
As a Seasonal Culinary Talent Specialist will be integral to the talent engagement culinary strategy. The Specialist will be responsible for implementing strategies for attracting, engaging, and hiring external and internal culinary positions across the Xanterra portfolio. The Specialist will assist with driving the partnerships, tools, resources, and process to increase our culinary and food and beverage hires.
This position starts in January and goes through June with a possible extension.
This position is currently 100% remote; however, it could be based out of the Xanterra Corporate office located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. To be considered for a remote opportunity your primary residence must be located in the following states: AZ, CO, FL, ID, MI, MN, MT, NC, NH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WY. If residing in the Denver Metro Area, there will be occasions when this position will be required to come into the office for meetings or events. The company reserves the right to change the position from remote to in office at any time.
Responsibilities
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Perform job activities to ensure property hiring needs are met including meeting or exceeding interview goals
- Manage culinary requisitions to include postings, screening, interviewing, and offers by location as directed
- Screen and interview external and internal culinary candidates and hire them at appropriate locations
- Consistently apply established criteria in the candidate evaluation process
- Be a point of contact for hiring managers, as well as provide guidance and tools for hiring and best practices
- Effectively communicate with hiring managers in a timely and professional manner
- Work closely with property location to ensure an exceptional candidate experience
- Partner with marketing and property Talent Team to support external efforts to manage applicant flow
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the locations, job responsibilities related to each requisition, and lifestyle and benefits of park life at supported location(s)
- Develop and maintain relationships with culinary programs/schools in collaboration with Partnership Manager
- Ensure a professional, legally compliant, and consistent selection and on-boarding experience for applicants
- Conduct intake meetings with Hiring Managers to determine job specific skills, qualifications, compensation, ideal start date, and other critical information to conduct effective phone interviews
- Attend culinary recruiting events as needed
- Assist location with additional requisitions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition strongly preferred
- Proficiency with culinary terminology and industry trends strongly preferred
- Previous experience working in a high-volume hiring and/or seasonal environment
- Professional communication skills related to telephone etiquette and written correspondence
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, take initiative, and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Talent and larger Human Resources team
- Knowledge or ability to learn Applicant Tracking System; prior experience with iCIMS specific products preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee information
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel
COMPENSATION: The pay rate for this position is $20/hour. Pay rate based on the position located out of the Denver Headquarters.
