Flood Law LLC, based in the Washington, D.C. metro, is seeking an experienced attorney to work on a part-time, contract basis.
The successful candidate will be able to telecommute and should be barred in Pennsylvania, Maryland, the District of Columbia, or Virginia.
Flood Law primarily represents employers on employment law and labor law matters, as well as a wide range of business disputes and litigation. We strive to provide our clients with extraordinary experience, commitment, and value.
We are seeking an experienced attorney to work on a part-time, contract basis, from 10 – 20 hours per week for a three-month period, with the possibility of growing into a long-term part-time or full-time employment relationship depending on firm growth, the success of the initial engagement, and the candidate’s preferences.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working on litigation matters is needed. Qualified candidates should have experience in employment law litigation. Traditional labor experience is a significant plus.
Experience is needed in conducting legal research and analysis, drafting memorandums, drafting written discovery requests, objections and responses, and drafting motions to dismiss, discovery motions, and dispositive motions.
This position will be 100% remote, though regular client meetings, depositions, and court appearances during business hours will occur.
