We are a Washington, DC based law firm that values passion, creativity, and dedication to helping clients in their time of need. We are growing and looking for an Associate Attorney to grow with us. Initial compensation to increase with growth and performance. This is a remote position but you may occasionally be asked to attend depositions or court hearings in the DMV area. The role begins as a contract, but we hope to find someone we can bring on as a direct hire as soon as possible.
Experience in representing clients in civil actions (federal court) regarding Employment Law is a plus. Experience in Employment Law including representing clients at EEOC, EEO, MSPB administrative hearings required. Must be admitted to practice in Maryland or Washington DC - admission in both of these jurisdictions preferred. A third license in VA will make you standout.
Key skills: motion practice, writing, and client management, to name a few. Moderate monthly billing requirement. Travel may be required for court appearances. Proficiency with Sharepoint, legal research, and motion writing. Must be able to work independently.
Applicants must provide references and a writing sample to be considered for the position. The writing sample should be a motion, a demand letter, or a legal memo to a supervising attorney.
