**Job Title:** Construction Project Manager

Our client is a prominent construction company based in Kansas City, Kansas, specializing in commercial and light industrial projects. With a focus on quality and innovation, they undertake a diverse range of projects, including concrete steel tilt-up walls and parking structures for warehouses, automotive dealerships, offices, and more. Their projects vary in size, ranging from $1-2 million to $50 million, with an average project size of ~$15 million. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our dynamic projects.
**Job Description:**
**Position Overview:**
As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial and light industrial Construction Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage projects of varying complexities.
The projects require knowledge in lots of concrete construction both horizontal and vertical, structural steel, roofing systems, overhead doors, fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.The project would range in the $15M to $50M range.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Project Planning and Coordination:**
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
2. **Budget Management:**
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
3. **Client Interaction:**
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, addressing inquiries, and providing regular project updates.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations, delivering projects that meet or exceed client satisfaction.
4. **Quality Control and Safety Compliance:**
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction activities adhere to industry standards and client specifications.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations throughout the project.
5. **Construction Management:**
- Oversee construction activities, including concrete steel tilt-up walls and parking structure installations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure the smooth flow of construction activities.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial and light industrial Construction Project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects ranging from $1-2 million to $50 million.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, such as concrete steel tilt-up walls, parking structure construction, major renovations, etc.
- Use or familiarity with Procore a must. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Technology skills.
