Construction Project Manager

Seeking experienced Project Manager for Commercial Contractor located in Wichita, Kansas that does $10 + Million a year in revenue. A successful candidate will have the proven ability to lead and manage projects varying in size, complexity and industries. Candidate must take the projects from estimate through project close-out. The right candidate will be expected to learn and understand the self-performing trades and take ownership of tasks. This position is for a person wanting to build a career with our company.
Responsibilities
Effectively prepare competitive estimates for both self-performed and subcontracted work
Manage bid processes for both hard bid and negotiated projects
Effectively prepare and mange project RFIs, submittals/shop drawing reviews, contracts, subcontractor contracts, change orders, pay applications and close-out documents
Manage Construction Projects in conjunction with project superintendent
Schedule subcontractors and order materials
Prepare and lead project meetings such as progress, OAC, subcontractor, etc.
Create and update detailed project construction schedules
Review and approve project invoices weekly
Accurately update job cost reports and estimated profits
Be proactive in identifying and addressing issues
Be accountable for yourself and others on the team
Demonstrate integrity in decisions, possess effective communication skills, both written and oral
Be professional and foster positive relationships with clients, subs, suppliers, business partners and co-workers
Skills, Experience and Basic Requirements
2+ years’ work experience in project management or construction management role leading and managing commercial Construction Projects in excess of $5M
Possess a valid driver’s license
Managing Construction Manager at Risk (SMR) projects
Experience with Bluebeam, OST software and cloud-based project management software
Possess the ability to read blueprints
Have strong presentation skills for project interviews and strong business development abilities
