Communications Assistant

Legislative and media/journalism experience preferred, ability to research and write well and have some press experience. Proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Write, edit and review correspondence, prepare press releases, create media packets, act as liaison with the press & media. Plan media outreach, read & clip newspapers/periodicals, inform members/staff on pertinent articles.
The ideal candidate will provide top-level assistance for the Members of the Caucus as well as the Chair. The position requires connecting with media sources and assisting with leading communication efforts using weekly email blasts, organizing press conferences, curating video content and more. Person should be well-organized and comfortable scheduling meetings and responding to emails on the executive's behalf.

Travel is required
