- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or closely related field

- Working under District Communications Specialist & Community Liaison (CSCL) and the Office of the Superintendent
- Helping build and maintain FCSD’s reputation and ensure consistent communication with our stakeholders, including parent engagement
- Support communication projects within the District as assigned by the CSCL
- Independently create compelling written and visual content for press releases, articles, newsletters and social media
- Support CSCL to produce multimedia content for PR purposes
- Facilitate internal communications to ensure consistent messaging among team members
- Work under CSCL to consistently maintain District website and social media channels, and to monitor social media
- Attends major school events as needed, including Board of Education meetings, for the purpose of staying abreast of district-wide news and events
- Maintains open lines of communication with all community organizations and provides prompt responses to requests for general information about the district, its policies, and its programs
- Develops and produces special publications for the district as the need arises as directed by the CSCL
