Collections Specialist

The Collections Specialist for Steel Lending Group is responsible for customer service and collections for Steel Lending Group’s customers.

Time Commitment: This job requires full time in office availability during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Compensation: Non-Exempt position, hourly wage

Reports to: Collections Manager

Back up person: Collections Manager or their designee

Work location: In-Office

Responsibilities

Professional Requirements:

• Communicate (both verbally and in writing) in a professional manner that instills confidence in the customer, and communicates Steel Lending Group’s, professional image.
• Project an out-going, friendly demeanor, with the ability to easily converse with people. This position represents Steel Lending Group and must always act in a professional manner.
• Respond to all phone, email and text inquiries from customers promptly.

Customer Service/Collections:

• Answer Incoming calls
• Provide excellent customer service to customers.
• Answer customer inquiries on accounts
• Process payments via customer request
• Make outgoing collection calls
• Negotiates payment terms with customers in accordance with established guidelines to minimize potential legal action or repossession.
• Provide solution based on customer’s situation.
• Receives and responds to collection and credit related inquiries in a prompt manner
• Performs other related duties as assigned

This position may require extended periods of sitting and/or viewing a computer monitor.

Compensation & Benefits:  

$23.00 per hour.
