Who You'll Work With
The Global Compute Architecture Team mission is to have a broad impact on the Cisco sales organization. We have a goal to accelerate sales of our solutions worldwide while enabling customers and partners to be successful. The team influences innovation, technology, and enablement to assist Cisco as it continues to evolve as a market leader and offer outstanding customer solutions with differentiated advantages over the competition.
As Cisco evolves into a software-centric company, our organization is adopting innovative approaches and methodologies for pre-sales and post-sales. In this role, you will be focused on the more sophisticated presales and upsell engineering motions while partnering with other groups such as field and partner sales, Cisco services, and customer success to ensure a coordinated sales effort across the land, adopt, expand, and renew lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
The Global Compute Specialist Sales Team is investing in a solution-focused approach. We are seeking an HCI Solutions Business Development Sales Specialist for this organization who will be focused long term on:
  • Sales and expertise for Cisco solutions for the HyperConverged Infrastructure, Enterprise Edge and AI/ML use cases.
  • Developing the next generation of demos, solution-focused collateral, messaging, and technical sales engagement motions for these solutions and scaling them globally.
  • Working with other members of the Global Compute Architecture team to provide input on demo, lab, PoV plans, roadmaps, and business and technical solutions content and messaging to ensure that we incorporate field facing experience and exposure.
  • Mentoring the field through enablement and field sales engagements.
  • Partner with CMO, and field teams to help gain logos in strategic accounts.
  • Partner with CMO, and PM teams to develop solutions-oriented content collateral and messaging for the use cases mentioned above as well as others.
  • Develop content for and present at internal and customer facing events such as our global sales kickoff (Cisco IMPACT), generalist and specialist SE training events, Cisco Live, and ecosystem partner events.
  • Direct customer interactions supporting field sales to drive Cisco strategy and solution preference throughout the sales cycle as well as supporting EBCs.
  • Gather and consolidate a global customer and Industry perspective to drive product strategy and roadmaps with product management, as well as technical messaging with marketing as the voice of the customer.
  • Partner with other eco-system, sales, engineering and marketing teams to develop joint solutions and joint GTM activities for areas like Security and Networking.
  • Work with worldwide SME technical communities to host demo, PoV, field and partner enablement events, and workshop support.
Who You Are:
  • 5+ years solutions experience selling Compute, Storage, and Network solutions.
  • Strong desire to learn and drive solution sales motions at a global level.
  • Self-starter driven to lead the way and enable others.
  • Proven track record of driving large-scale messaging and enablement.
  • Ability to explain sophisticated technical solutions and their business value to a wide range of audiences, from Account Managers to Specialist TSAs internally and from end users to customer executives externally.
  • Experience in solution sales environments in "real world" deployments of Cisco compute, network, and storage solutions.
  • Ability to provide detailed and consumable documentation of standard methodologies for deployment around application acceleration, automation/management efficiencies, enterprise edge, and AI/ML solutions.
  • Ability to bring people from different departments to the table, to build a safe environment for people, making sure their opinions are heard and addressed.
  • Focus on team's success rather than individual wins.
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
Why Cisco?
#WeAreCisco. We are all unique, but collectively we bring our talents to work as a team, to develop innovative technology and power a more inclusive, digital future for everyone. How do we do it? Well, for starters - with people like you!
Nearly every internet connection around the world touches Cisco. We're the Internet's optimists. Our technology makes sure the data traveling at light speed across connections does so securely, yet it's not what we make but what we make happen which marks us out. We're helping those who work in the health service to connect with patients and each other; schools, colleges, and universities to teach in even the most challenging of times. We're helping businesses of all shapes and sizes to connect with their employees and customers in new ways, providing people with access to the digital skills they need and connecting the most remote parts of the world - whether through 5G, or otherwise.
We tackle whatever challenges come our way. We have each other's backs, we recognize our accomplishments, and we grow together. We celebrate and support one another - from big and small things in life to big career moments. And giving back is in our DNA (we get 10 days off each year to do just that).
We know that powering an inclusive future starts with us. Because without diversity and a dedication to equality, there is no moving forward. Our 30 Inclusive Communities, that bring people together around commonalities or passions, are leading the way. Together we're committed to learning, listening, caring for our communities, whilst supporting the most vulnerable with a collective effort to make this world a better place either with technology, or through our actions.
So, you have colorful hair? Don't care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That's cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us! #WeAreCisco
