Job description

For our client, a dynamic company that provides custom design and architecture projects for the luxury fashion industry, we are looking for:BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.
Mission:
The BDM, reporting to the Group Commercial Director, will be responsible for promoting the commercial activities within the assigned geographic region and for ensuring the achievement of sales targets within assigned budgets, maximizing opportunities for commercial development, and effectively implementing strategies, policies, and actions sales in the territory.
Mainresponsibilities:

  • Develop direct relationships with key influencers/stakeholders in the selection of target projects;
  • Develop the client portfolio by managing the assigned budget for the activation of the territory;
  • Conduct negotiations with customers in the area, in accordance with management, and implement the sales policies defined by the group;
  • Expand the customer base by mapping areas of opportunity, increasing retention and satisfaction in the existing customer base;
  • Ensure the continuous presence in assigned regions, visiting customers on a rotating basis;
  • Involvement in any organizations/associations and trade shows;
  • Communicating monthly reports on expected project closings, value in dollars, and related products/services/projects;
  • Develop and manage weekly reports for the management;
  • Manage activities within the annual budget for travel and expenses incurred;
  • Support business functions involved in customer-related operations (credit management, customer service, planning, forecasting, marketing, etc.);
  • Maintain a database of opportunities/projects in CRM.
  • Visit domestic/international suppliers (also with customers) to check production progress and quality control.

Mainrequirements and qualifications:
  • Technical background (designer, architect) and understanding of technical and architectural terms and ability to read drawings and technical documents;
  • Technical skills necessary to understand and propose products or solutions focusing on customer needs;
  • 7-10 years of experience in BD/sales roles in related markets desired;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on timeliness, prioritization and goal setting;
  • Ability to communicate information, both technical and non-technical, to clients/suppliers and to their team, in a clear and concise manner;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time;
  • Knowledge of English (fluent/native); knowledge of Italian is an added value.

Job location:
New York - remote
This position has flexibility regarding employment status of either Full Time, Exempt Employment (FT) or 1099 Consultant.
Compensation:
Base salary starts from 120,000 USD based on the candidate's experience.
Annual Bonus/MBO and additional benefits are offered.
Candidate must show proof of US citizenship/visa/alien registration.
No sponsorship will be offered for this role.
