Job description

Church Administrators: Duties, Challenges, and Job Description
The church administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the church. This
can include everything from managing the finances to overseeing the
maintenance of the church building and property.
Duties may include:
  • managing employee and congregation records
  • coordinating volunteers
  • scheduling meetings
  • taking minutes
  • updating the church website
  • sending email newsletters
  • preparing the budget
  • paying the bills
  • processing contributions
  • church group meetings
  • weddings
  • funerals
  • concerts
  • conferences
The Church Administrator is the one who keeps everything running
smoothly—so that the pastor and elders can focus on ministering to the needs of the
congregation.
Experience:
  • Ideally, we need someone who has administrative experience working in a church or a similar organization.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
