JOB TITLE: Business Development / Sales Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Solicits parts and service business from current accounts, obtains new accounts in assigned area through personal visits and phone contacts. Work closely with Shop Management of assigned stores to ensure proper workflow into the operation.
REPORTS TO: V.P of Business Development
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Treat customers and employees with courtesy and respect. Visit assigned customers and prospect for new accounts. Promote services to the customer base and new customers. Analyze sales and market potential to identify sales increase opportunities. Achieve sales objectives and management goals. Obtain profitability on sales within specific gross profit guidelines.
· Make follow-up visits to new accounts and established accounts to resolve any concerns and obtain additional business. Communicate with any new customers to fellow teammates.
· Monitor and maintain knowledge of sales and marketing conditions and trends. Perform research and analysis of local market conditions to identify sales opportunities and develop market-specific promotion programs with management team.
· Work with vendors to obtain current product features and benefits. Seek vendor assistance in obtaining new customers when appropriate. Attend product knowledge classes as requested by leadership. Join and attend local traffic clubs and meetings as directed by leadership.
· Establish and maintain customer contact list. Update records to reflect any changes. Work with a team to obtain new customer leads. Complete customer contact reports for all visits and submit them weekly.
· Provide credit applications to current and new customers. Handle billing disputes between customer and the company. Mediate all concerns between customer and company.
· Work with coworkers to reduce conflict and maximize profitability. Prepare for and participate in meetings with coworkers and owners.
· Schedule and dispatch technician(s) to new accounts and service calls to ensure a high level of customer service utilizing proper shop operation staff.
· Be ready to write new work orders, as needed if staffing in shops are short.
· Collect past due invoices from delinquent customers.
· Assist technician in inventory and parts ordering. Pick up parts from vendors to keep shop work flowing.
· Be ready to help and assist in any role needed at any time to maintain shop flow and efficiency. Actively assist the team in any roles or work as needed. Be a Team player.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Performance standards for this position are met when:
1. Assigned labor and parts sales meet monthly objectives established by Leadership.
2. Maintain a gross profit percentage of 48% or higher.
3. Complete reports as requested (weekly, and monthly).
4. Potential new customers are visited and continual growth month over month.
5. Current customers are visited, and follow-up is done.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
