Business Development Representative

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly plus Commission (Non-Exempt)

Job Responsibilities:

The following job duties are expected from the BDC Department; you are assigned to complete the following duties:

• Operate within the BDC team in accordance with company guidelines for quality client treatment
• Be trained and develop phone sales skills using the prescribed Smart Chevrolet selling system and procedures
• Setting of appointments and daily client contact using policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Track and have manager call backs performed DAILY
• Periodic evaluations will be given to analyze the BDC performance, productivity averages and storewide client satisfaction results, based on feedback from 3rd party reviews
• Complete training & certification process for all BDR personnel
• Proper usage of dealership records management systems, including DMS and CRM, for all customer personal data and logging of interactions
• Participate in monthly goal sessions and reviews with your department supervisor and ensure those commitments are turned in to the General Manager
• Coordinate with product specialists and sales department management for continuity in messages and marketing presentations to all customers
• Provide daily maintenance and retooling of dealer online presence, including but not limited to: updating promotional data, updating inventory, uploading and creating descriptions and vehicle comments, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must work well under pressure, be action and results-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to multitask. Must have distinguishing behavior while putting the customer first, working well with others, leading courageously, developing continuously, and achieving results.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience in an automotive finance department is preferred but not required. Working knowledge of automotive CRM systems, automotive inventory management software, and automotive website applications. Additional experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel and possess the ability to navigate through multiple windows and multiple software systems & 10-key experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase agreements, aftermarket product agreements, financing & lease contracts, and other financial related documents as well as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The individual must be able to read and write routine reports and correspondence. The individual must be able to speak effectively amongst a group of customers or employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to understand & carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The individual must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
