The Business Development Manager - Asset Recovery, Liquidation Experience. This position manages and aids in the analyzing, planning, research, and development of sales strategies to maximize financial return of reverse logistics and asset recovery. This role builds customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, and negotiates potential deals. The role identifies industry best practices and works closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute implementation plans. This individual will actively seek continuous improvement opportunities. This individual will be a key leader in driving overall process improvements of Asset Recovery department and other parts of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, track, and report out on key metrics to manage the Asset Recovery Liquidation business
- Responsible for creation and growth of effective sales strategies as well as execution to achieve sales objectives.
- Is responsible to achieve sales and sales growth objectives.
- Continuous identification of opportunities to increase in Sales
- Develop annual budget and monthly goals for Liquidation business
- On-going collaboration with Asset Recovery team to identify and implement processes to improve liquidation as well as other department processes
- Develop deep knowledge of industry best practices; Manage implementation where applicable
- Create and execute the Business Development and Marketing strategy for Asset Recovery (AR) products;
- Attend industry functions and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends;
- Strengthen relationship and service levels with existing AR customers to ultimately increase sales;
- Develop pricing and promotions structure to maximize profits
- Analyze data to identify impact of pricing and promotions decisions;
- Identify, vet, and onboard potential vendors
- Key player in management of disposition of excess inventory; Identify most profitable options and help manage timely execution
- Resolve customer issues as needed
- Manage and contribute to additional projects outside of Asset Recovery

Requirements
Education (Required)
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills; effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

- Must have a strong "whatever it takes" attitude to get the job done

- Prior project management experience desired
- 7+ years Business Development Liquidation experience required
- BS in International Business preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Solid business acumen
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop a long-term vision for liquidation business
- Prior project management experience desired;
- Demonstrated track record of performance
- Must have passport and ability to obtain necessary travel documents required for international travel.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

The anticipated salary range for this position is $118,300 - $177,500 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
