The Broadband Caseworker Policy Analyst will conduct entry level technical, policy, and economic analysis to support local communities to engaging with broadband Internet access programs. The home-based, remote position will focus on one of two regions.
Caseworker Region A - A Caseworker Policy Analyst will service the following counties: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Modoc, Momo, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba.
Caseworker Region B - A Caseworker Policy Analyst will service the following counties: San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego and Imperial.
Under the direction of the Program & Project Supervisor, the Caseworker Policy Analyst (PURA I/II) will work with policy and technical team members to engage with local governments, joint power authorities and other entities to assess the need for broadband infrastructure to provide Internet and data services in unserved and underserved areas in California. The Caseworker Policy Analyst will conduct technical, policy, economic and other analyses in support of outreach efforts, through public in-person and virtual meetings, including presenting information about broadband programs to government entities, businesses, non-profits, the public and service providers.
