POSITION:Box Office Manager
LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY
HOURS: Full-Time including evenings, weekends & holidays per show schedule
SALARY: 65k Commensurate with Experience
ABOUT THE POSITION
Kings Theatre, an Ambassador Theatre Group venue, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Box Office Manager. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Box Office, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the success of our events. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving ambitious sales and ticketing goals, fostering positive relationships with partners, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary Ticketing contact for all events.
- Build and maintain events within the ticketing system, including placing and releasing holds.
- Monitor ticket inventory and collaborate with Central Ticketing, General Management, Marketing and Promoter partners to maximize revenue.
- Foster relationships with promoters, private event clients, and internal and external ticketing teams.
- Collaborate with the venue Marketing team to optimize upgrades and premium products to drive additional revenue.
- In conjunction with the Director of Box Office, support operations during all events (Ticket Sales, Will Call, Ticketing Scanning, Guest Lists, etc.).
- Process ticket orders, support customer inquiries, and process refunds.
- Support the training, scheduling, and day-to-day supervision of ticket sellers.
- End of day accounting reports, including ticket counts and suite sales reporting.
- Prepare event settlement reports.
- Audit daily ticket sales and provide management reporting.
- Ensure the Ticketing department delivers exceptional customer service.
- Stay current with ticketing trends and technologies in the industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Box Office Manager or Representative, including management-level work experience.
- Thorough understanding of Ticketing systems including but not limited to AudienceView and Ticketmaster.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of emails and inquiries.
- Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Must be available to work evening and weekend hours, based on the show schedule.
- A passion for live music and entertainment.

Kings Theatre is a live concert venue in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. After a meticulous restoration and reopening in 2015, Kings Theatre has again become a hub for live entertainment, hosting events ranging from concerts and comedy to film screenings, fashion shows, and more.
- The Box Office Manager reports to the Director of Box Office.
- This role must collaborate and effectively communicate with building departments, including General Management, Front of House, Production, Operations and Food & Beverage.
