Bookkeeper

Mt. MELVIL is a production company producing commercials and original content.

We are seeking a full-time bookkeeper who is hardworking, pays attention to detail, and a team player. The position requires accounting experience. Knowledge in film production is also a plus. The hours will vary depending on the volume of projects. Commuting to the office in Culver city is required.

Job Description:

• Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Communicates and prepares books for CPA.
• Handles payroll companies.
• Handles 401K for employees.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Position includes some administrative tasks such as Office Management (working together with the Office Manager/Administrator), going to the bank, talking to insurance company, etc.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Previous bookkeeping experience required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
