Bookkeeper

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Xero, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Duties: - Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Prepare and submit tax forms and reports to relevant government agencies - Maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions - Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors - Assist with financial report writing and preparation - Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations Skills: - Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software - Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes - Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and practices - Previous experience as a bookkeeping clerk or similar role - Solid understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable procedures - Knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements - Ability to use accounting software for general ledger accounting tasks - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a strong background in bookkeeping, we encourage you to apply. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
