Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will have primary responsibility for ensuring the day-to-day operations of MassMedia’s accounting department. This individual will maintain proper records and documentation, as well as provide timely reporting to various individuals inside and outside the organization. Will assist in creating a positive team environment and ensure completion of day-to-day financial activities. This position requires the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity from an individual who is responsible and dependable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Accounts payable processing and check runs to ensure accurate coding and timely payment to agency vendors

· Accounts receivable processing and follow-up / collections to ensure accurate and timely receipt of client payments and corresponding bank deposits

· Process biweekly payroll

· Maintain updated and accurate accounting records and files

· Support agency senior accountant and/or CPA to provide data inputs for financial reports

· Work closely with operations and agency account teams to provide necessary financial information and support

· Other general bookkeeping tasks and duties

Requirements

· Must have 5+ years of corporate bookkeeping experience

· Position requires onsite work five days per week

· Must possess knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

· Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Pro Online

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· Strong communication and critical thinking abilities

· Attention to detail is essential

· Team approach and a positive attitude

· Agency experience a plus

Benefits

Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/HR, dependent on experience
