Bookkeeper

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and possess excellent knowledge of financial concepts. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks.

Duties:
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification and payment processing
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Utilize accounting software to record and track financial transactions
- Conduct technical accounting research as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar programs
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
