Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper

Well-established and growing Certified Public Accounting firm hiring a full-time Tax Preparer/Experienced Bookkeeper. Candidate must be friendly, dependable, ready to learn, and professional with a polite demeanor and positive attitude. Previous experience working in a CPA Firm or accounting office is highly preferred.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for multiple clients
• Be comfortable meeting with clients
• Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Analyze financial information to determine tax liability
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations
• Identify and maximize tax credits and deductions
• Prepare and review estimated tax payments
• Respond to IRS inquiries and notices
• Prepare and review quarterly and year-end tax reports
• Assist clients with tax planning and compliance
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Provide tax advice and guidance to clients

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least two years experience in Tax Preparation/Accounting in QuickBooks
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read financial statements
• Able to work as a team player
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
• Keen attention to detail
• Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
