Independent, multi-location, franchise, and enterprise restaurant groups gain efficiencies and drive profitability through our financial accounting, purpose-built payroll, food cost management, and daily AP automation, all under one roof.
Because Back Office was built by restaurant owners, for restaurant owners, it was specifically designed to address the revenue, cost of goods, labor, and compliance concerns that operators face within the industry. Through Back Office, owners gain clear and actionable insights into their performance, empowering them to make data-based operational decisions while leveraging the unique combination of continued education and user-friendly software, right at their fingertips.
This position is based out of our Littleton, CO office and is budgeted from $55,000 - $62,000 annually. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
As a service provider to the restaurant industry, the Back Office accounting team has a great opportunity to provide an engaging experience with restaurant owners who don't have strong experience with financial reporting which creates a rewarding aspirational experience for both team and clients alike. Our accountants are a second set of eyes on restaurant's financials and provide owners with peace of mind that their financials are accurate and their leaders have the right tools and team at their fingertips to manage the financials and make proactive business decisions.
Your impact:
- Consistently review financial statements and communicate anomalies to the client via Support Request
- Consistently review Balance Sheets for inaccuracies and relay these inaccuracies to the client via Balance Sheet Reviews (Semi-Annual or Annual).
- Develop and maintain a one-on-one relationship with clients by phone and support requests.
- Provide a high level of customer service while keeping the client within the scope of our services.
- Impart a high level of understanding of accounting procedures to clients so that they have the best possible understanding of business practices.
- Relay best practices and exhibit knowledge behind why best practices exist.
- Maintain accurate and timely responses to client questions and concerns within the company SLA.
- Escalate any service issues or client complaints to the Portfolio Manager.
- Assist with training of new team members
- Work with Accounting Success Manager to create new policies, procedures, and best practices when applicable.
- Assist others when absent or behind; including daily tasks, projects, calls & support requests.
- Act as a leader at all times & take full ownership of your clients.
About you:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management: The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong Computer Skills, including Internet familiarity.
- Strong customer service skills/background.
- Must exude courtesy, politeness, and patience.
- Must be team-orientated.
- Must be detail-orientated.
- The following courses or their counterparts are required:
- Accounting I
- Accounting II
- Intermediate Accounting
- Preferred: B.A./B.S. in Accounting.
