Bookkeeper Manager Part-time Remote – Must work in the Denver Area

Are you an experienced Senior Bookkeeper with a strong background in Homeowners Association (HOA) management? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team remotely in the Denver area. If you have proficiency in AppFolio or equivalent HOA property management software and a proven track record in HOA financial operations, we invite you to apply.

Requirements:

1. AppFolio or other HOA property management software experience.

2. Extensive experience in Homeowners Association (HOA) management.

Responsibilities: This list provides an overview, and the Bookkeeper Manager may be required to handle additional duties as they arise.

1. Bill Management:

· Pay bills by monitoring email for relevant invoices, retrieving bills from property websites, and posting them to AppFolio. Initiate online payments, record transactions, and manage mailing of checks.

2. Association Setup:

· Create new associations in AppFolio, involving the setup of new bank accounts, activation of associations, data uploads, and balancing financial reports.

3. Financial Transactions:

· Submit bank paperwork for CD purchases, reconcile all bank accounts monthly, and record income breakdown.

4. District Fund Management:

· Record payments when transfers are made from bank accounts for the districts to the district funds.

5. Financial Reporting:

· Produce monthly district reports and quarterly reports for all associations.

6. Delinquency Charges:

· Review and post delinquency charges for all properties.

7. Income Breakdown:

· Record income breakdown for specific property types and facilitate bank transfers as needed.

8. Invoicing:

· Enter monthly invoices in AppFolio for management fees and extras, recording payments and initiating bank transfers.

9. Budgeting:

· Enter budgets annually and update bank automatic transfers and journal entries.

10. Exception Handling:

· Manage daily positive pay exceptions and review lockbox exceptions.

11. Tax Compliance:

· Issue year-end 1099s.

12. Management Transitions:

· Provide financial reports during association transfers and answer audit-related questions.

13. Issue Resolution:

· Research and correct financial issues as needed.

14. Bank User Access:

· Grant access to new accounts for bank users as new accounts are added.
