SalaryWe have an opportunity to join Cherry Bekaert's Finance and Accounting team as a Billing Specialist to support our client billing process. As a Billing Specialist, you will support multiple offices assisting partners and bill managers by running and providing various reports, researching prior invoices, creating/approving client invoices in STAR timekeeping software, updating client information to maintain data integrity and managing proper employee time entry. This position reports to the Billing Manager and will work collaboratively with internal clients and the larger billing team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee client billing process and run various reports
- Assist Partners and Bill Manager with billing
- Prepare client invoices in STAR
- Maintain data integrity in client management systems
- Manage employee time entry
- Work with new hires on time entry and billing process
- Develop and maintain professional, supportive and positive relationships with staff members
- Keep Billing Manager aware of potential issues and deadline challenges
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, professional services a plus
- Experience with hourly billing preferred but we are happy to train someone ready to learn
- Self driven but also enjoys working collaboratively (because the team is amazing!)
- Deadline driven without sacrificing accuracy
- Keen sense of detail...because it is numbers....
- Ability to navigate and build rapport across all levels of the organization
- You have a knack for solving problems and enjoy it
- Flexible and adaptable; you can PIVOT
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite

The hiring range for this position is $23.08 - $25.96 per hour.
