Medical Biller
Work Location: In person
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and disputes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and industry regulations.
Front Desk
Duties
Standard Medical office Front Desk duties incuding handling multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, appointment reminders, follow up on missed appointments, check in and check out of patients
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing and coding
- Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
- Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with or Knowledge of eClinicalWorks
Experience with or knowledge of Waystar
