As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, the Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for providing accounting services to a dedicated Direct Travel client, and in contributing towards the daily administration of accurate and timely financial records. This role will work closely with the Operations team, as well as client specific accounting individuals as necessary, and will report to the Operations Manager Groups Meetings and Events.
This is a fully remote position
Expedition Expectations
- Updating and maintaining accounting records for the company’s credit card program
- Processing and reconciling company’s transactions related to payments made to vendors.
- Aid in the day to day accounting functions including, but not limited to, processing accounting transactions, reconciling statements, running reports and issue resolution
- Import and track hotel commissions for various locations
- Record journal entries related to merchant credit card reconciliation process.
- Prepare client billing per requirements
- Continually update job knowledge and take on additional responsibility as the company grows

Passport to Success
- Associate degree in accounting preferred with 3 - 5 years of experience in clerical accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail along with problem identification, analytical and resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivator with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
- Ability to adopt a flexible, hands on approach in relation to the strategic direction of the company
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Going the Extra Mile
- Travel or service industry experience, including experience with Conferma, Agresso, Central Command, Global Max, Globalware, Trams, Travcom and/or Global Matrix preferred, but not required
