Billing Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Analyst to join our team. The Billing Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data related to billing and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services and possess strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify discrepancies or errors in billing records and take appropriate action to resolve them
- Prepare and send invoices to clients or customers
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues or disputes
- Conduct regular audits of billing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of billing activities, adjustments, and collections
- Provide support to the finance team during month-end close processes

Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services or accounting
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
