We are seeking to hire someone who enjoys working with children, possesses strong leadership qualities, and can communicate effectively. Other important attributes and job responsibilities are included below:
- Registered Behavior Technician or Certified Behavior Technician preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience providing therapy to kids or a background in an educational setting.
- Positive mental attitude and diligent work ethic.
- Dedicated and analytical. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with responding to challenging behaviors
- Be willing to have fun and use your imagination.
Responsibilities:
The Behavior Therapist will be responsible for implementing treatment plan recommendations prescribed by a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) for student(s) between the ages of 2-10. Our therapists shape skills and desired behaviors using positive reinforcement and then corresponding treatment data is collected and stored using a software program. A summary of other important responsibilities for this position are included below:
- Collect baseline and intervention treatment data.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Abide by the company’s mission and guiding principles
- Teach and facilitate play skills
- Use ABA principles to shape daily living, communication, and social skills.
- Provide parents with a daily debrief regarding their child's performance
- Employ DTT, NET, and Incidental Teaching Strategies.
- Adhere to HIPPA privacy laws and company policies
- Participate in data review with the BCBA on a regular basis
- Participate in team-building activities and organizational planning meetings.
- Implement treatment plan objectives and collect data on a daily basis
