Position Overview
Lincoln Charter is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our Athletic Director. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient management of our athletic programs, ensuring that the administrative tasks are handled professionally and allowing the Athletic Director to focus on the strategic development of the department. Key Responsibilities
- Calendar Management: Maintain the Athletic Director's schedule, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and events related to athletics.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact for athletes, parents, coaches, and staff. Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student-athletes, coaches, schedules, and equipment inventory. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating athletic events, including home and away games, tournaments, and team travel arrangements.
- Financial Support: Assist with budget management and financial record-keeping for the athletic department. Process invoices, expenses, and purchase orders as necessary.
- Team Support: Provide support to coaches and student-athletes, including distributing information, organizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with league and school regulations.
- Facility Management: Help manage athletic facilities, ensuring they are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in an educational or athletic setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using office software, including Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of high school athletics is a plus but not a requirement.
