Job Summary:
Join Bluemercury's Digital team as an Ecommerce Site Merchandising Assistant! Drive a top-notch luxury shopping experience by managing online merchandising assortment and strategies. Use analytics, trends, and competitive research to meet conversion targets and corporate goals. Curate compelling merchandise assortments, validate publishes, and optimize content. Ensure timely and accurate product and brand content publishing. Report to the Ecommerce Manager, collaborating with cross-functional teams. We seek a detail-oriented, fast learner, and business-minded individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Item Setup, Daily Audits, and Optimizations:
- Manage the digital product assortment throughout the item lifecycle on Bluemercury.com, ensuring timely publishes, updates, and removals in accordance with business priorities.
- Manage large datasets, provide and implement solutions to improve business processes, and respond to a high volume of emails in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to update product information to meet evolving business needs and industry best practices; ideate and execute projects to address those opportunities.
- Conduct daily audits of the website to ensure an outstanding customer experience and collaborate with support staff and cross-functional team members to resolve complex back-end and customer-facing issues.
- Site Navigation & Merchandising:
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining filter groups and attributes, ensuring that products appear in the correct filters, categories, and search results.
- Partner with merchandising leads to create and maintain boost and bury rules, ensuring a PLP assortment that fulfills customer needs and business objectives.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide weekly status reports on item lifecycle.
- Monitor weekly sell-thru report to address slow-moving products and identify opportunities to provide additional visibility to products on the site.
- Leverage reporting on PDP performance, search, and site experience to develop a project plan and make product optimization recommendations.
- Complete digital business review decks to present recommendations to brands on how to improve their digital business.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to understand best practices and enhance the digital customer experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year of experience in digital/ecommerce, marketing, retail, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel, including vLookups and pivot tables
- Experience in analyzing data and reporting, with the ability to provide meaningful takeaways
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Understanding of the retail ecommerce landscape; experience in the beauty or luxury industry is a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to self-pace, follow through, and keep partners on schedule to meet tight deadlines
- Ability and drive to quickly learn new tools/systems, including web-based applications such as content management systems, web analytics, and project/task management software
- Preferred experience in Salsify and/or Shopify
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Desire to manage the digital assortment for multiple merchandising categories and identify opportunities to optimize digital presence
- Team player with a willingness to learn and grow at Bluemercury
