Assembly Team Lead
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Assembly Team Lead in our Orlando Service Center. The primary job function of this position will be to provide directly to the assembly team, ensuring timely and accurate execution of assembly activities.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring accuracy of work orders and supporting documentation.
- Coaches, leads, and directs employees as necessary to assure a qualified and trained workforce in the department.
- Effectively communicates all policies and procedures, especially those related to safety issues.
- Familiar with tools and the ability to use them in a safe and competent manner.
- Maintain the assembly area in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines and pressure.
- Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
The skills and experience you need:
- Excellent communication skills with both employees and customers.
- Experience operation a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other equipment utilized in the warehouse.
- Competent with Excel and Word systems. JDE mainframe is a plus but will train.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to twenty pounds and occasional lifting of 30-40 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.
- Utilize space efficiently and effectively.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other equipment utilized in the warehouse.
