Job Description
Summary:
The Accounts Supervisor is responsible for oversight of Arbor Therapy's daily operations of accounts payable, payroll, budget and tax compliance. This position involves detailed analysis, strategic planning, and collaboration with other operational and clinical areas.
This person will play a key role in upholding Arbor Therapy's mission of providing excellent, affordable healthcare while maintaining a profitable business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the accounts payable and payroll departments.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and payroll transactions.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Reconcile AP/Payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to AP/Payroll activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to AP/AR/payroll.
- As the company and department grows, supervise a team of AP/AR/payroll clerks, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in AP, AR, and payroll roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience
- iSolved experience is a plus
Optional/Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification(s) such as CPA, CPP, or CMA.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to AP/AR/payroll.
