How will you make an impact in this role? This position is part of the Colleague Experience Group (CEG) Operational Excellence function and reports to the Sr. Manager - People Risk, Governance and Audit Management.

The People Risk, Governance and Audit Analyst will evaluate people risk holistically, ensuring compliance in key areas related to people risk globally and will support audit project management oversight within CEG. Responsibilities People Risk & Governance Managing People Risk Pillar Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) activities including Risk Assessment Questionnaire (RAQ) updates, approvals, testing, and support documentation Driving consistent messaging for CEG People Risk pillar, including contributing to and managing an Emerging Risk Inventory and Risk Appetite Framework escalations (including Attrition), and helping prepare updates to leadership and risk committees Supporting Enterprise Risk Assessment (ERSA) program for CEG, by performing necessary monitoring, analysis, and reporting Contributing to Project Management Oversight (PMO) activities for OE Governance related to key CEG strategic initiatives, including Colleague Monitoring Governance Ensuring that the CEG Operational Excellence remains a trusted partner to the CEG organization in supporting them to meet their expectations Audit Management Supporting CEG's strategy as it relates to providing PMO support for second line review and audits led by Internal Audit Group (IAG), including pre audit planning activities (i.e., information gathering, CEG participant team awareness and engagement, and identification of potential risks and issues). Tracking, follow up and reporting on the documentation of management self-identified findings (MSIFs) and action plans Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of field-work activities and ensuring Audit and second line review information requests are met in a timely manner Monitoring and reporting the business status related to addressing findings or management action plans (MAPs) to ensure activities are moving forward and will be achieved by specified time-frames Minimum Qualifications Self-starter along with passion for continuous innovation with a view to drive organizational improvements and impacts Ability to work with unstructured tasks/ risk pillar and provide a structured output Excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, with expertise in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Highly organized, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to quality and detail Data-driven mindset and experience in the manipulation, assessment, interpretation, and presentation of data to support a conclusion Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently Aptitude to operate within a policy & process driven environment and maintain risk management / policy standards Resilient and Comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problem solving Strong decision-making skills and the ability to resolve complex problems independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in at least one of the following disciplines is required; Operational Excellence, Compliance, Operational Risk or Audit Preferred Qualifications Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships to foster a culture of awareness and engagement Demonstrated business acumen, credibility, and judgment, both independently and in collaboration with risk, compliance, business, audit, second line teams and other colleagues Put Enterprise thinking first, connect the team's agenda to CEG and Enterprise priorities Independent, self-motivated, with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions. Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
