What You'll Do:
In this role, you will help drive Vivint's product roadmap by providing valuable insight into our customers and our products. You will work with a talented team of data scientists and engineers to:
- Help analyze and understand an ever-increasing stream of IoT data.
- Partner with product teams to understand how our customers engage with our products
- Develop datasets that help product leaders gain new insights into our products.
- Help define and develop our self-service roadmap. I.e., how do we get data into more people's hands?
- Help visualize and communicate insights across the organization
Required Skills:
- Experience with Data Visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, Superset, Matplotlib, ggplot etc)
- Experience with SQL
- Experience solving analytical business problems using data and statistics
- Experience with R, Python, or other programming languages
- Experience bringing in data from multiple Data Sources / API's
- Strong analytical skills, organization skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with data science and machine learning is a plus
- Experience bringing in data from multiple Data Sources / API's
- Experience working with distributed data i.e. Hadoop, Hive & Spark
- Experience working with IOT data.
Required Education/Experience:
- Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative field
