Job Purpose:
Under the direction of Management performs a variety of advanced administrative and clerical duties which are critical to the operation of the Lexington County CMHC offices as needed. Applies policies to perform varied tasks, such as providing clerical, secretarial, data entry, and medical records maintenance, which have a significant impact on the operation of the unit; makes independent decisions concerning the daily operations of the unit.
Job Functions:
Provide excellent customer service to all LCCMHC consumers or related parties and maintain a professional working relationship with all LCCMHC staff. Maintains policies and procedures while processing routine matters within established guidelines.
Maintain and update all EMR chart information, financial documentation, and insurance information of consumers assigned to the clinic in accordance with policies and procedures of LCCMHC. Assist in satellite offices and / or clinics as needed.
Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability via management of change fund, self-pay collections, and deposit preparation in accordance with guidelines set forth by LCCMHC.
Adhere to all corporate compliance policies, regulations, statutes, (federal, state, local, DMH, or laws regulating the provision of health care.
Participates in and completes all agency mandatory training.
Other tasks as assigned.
State Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma..
DMH Requirements:A high school diploma and two years of clerical experience; or associate degree in secretarial science or other related field; or three years of clerical experience.Preferred Candidate will have experience working in a fast paced medical clinic.
