The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an applicant for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant in the Office of Admissions. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative activities of the Admissions Office. The day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Providing coverage for the department's main phone and front desk, processing all information requests via email, voicemail and phone calls.
- Managing the office calendar; scanning and uploading documents to the document management system
- Maintaining professional appearance of department
- Entering prospective student data into the CRM and Student Information System.
- Assists the Visitor Center staff as necessary by preparing the room for student and group visits and securing the room at the end of the day, checks visitors in, and at the end of the day compiles data on campus visits and sends to the Visitor Center Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least a high school diploma. This position requires a person who can handle many tasks at one time, is able to be flexible, can work independently and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to function as a collegial member of a team and demonstrate high levels of organization and coordination of multiple tasks at once.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of college admissions requirements and procedures is highly desirable, but not required.
